About Business Design Centre
The Business Design Centre is a Grade II listed building between Upper Street and Liverpool Road in Islington, north London. It opened in 1862 as the Agricultural Hall, becoming the Royal Agricultural Hall in 1884, and was built for agricultural shows. It was home to the Royal Smithfield Club's Smithfield Show from 1862 to 1938, staged the Royal Tournament from 1880 until that outgrew the hall and moved to Olympia, and hosted the first Crufts dog show in 1891. Few exhibition spaces carry such a varied heritage of livestock, military display and dog shows.
