Stage Hands and Event Crew in London

London is the UK's busiest events market, with everything from West End theatre and arena concerts to major exhibitions and conferences. ExCeL London and Olympia host large trade shows, while The O2 and Wembley Stadium stage some of the biggest live shows in Europe. Outdoor events fill the royal parks and riverside sites through summer, including large concerts in Hyde Park, and the capital's film, fashion and corporate sectors generate constant demand for staging, rigging, set builds and event labour. Marquees and temporary structures are common in parks, rooftops and private estates across the city and the surrounding boroughs, and strict venue rules shape how crews load in.

Working in London: what to plan for

• Congestion charge, ULEZ and tight loading bays mean early-morning load-ins and pre-booked dock slots are the norm; many central venues limit vehicle access.
• Peak season runs May to September for outdoor events, with a heavy conference and exhibition calendar in spring and autumn and corporate parties in December.
• Typical venues: exhibition halls, arenas, theatres, hotels, historic buildings, parks and private rooftop or riverside sites.
